It means that we have to care about our environment. For example small insects that we kill, plants that we pick and small animals home that we destroyed. The first thing we did is the field trip to the water fall. We went there by bus for 45 minutes and walk for 1,5 kilometres. Then I questioned the guide'' is the water cold''?'' just see later'' he said. Thre are eagles flying above the mountains with their mighty wings.

''There used to be 100 eagles flying''! the guide said, but now there are only 3-4 of them now. For 1,5 Kilometres of really really scary bumpy road we have finally reached the waterfall. Oh cold water splashing making the air cold. We swim in the cold cristal clear water. The water was reallyn really cold. After we swam we asked questions and they said this place is going to be a parking lot. Its quite sad don't you think?. We walked again to the bus, but the way to the bus was so long. really bumpy road and my drink has finished. At last we saw the bus and run as fast as we can. Its an incredible journey. Then come here before it turns into a parking lot.

devilbatshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09440831345131628759noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2512973650261528186.post-2058255763184666242008-05-30T19:40:00.000-07:002008-05-30T19:41:38.191-07:00bee

There also many kinds of really-really kinds of rare beatle suchas Caucasus beetle, Mollenkampi beetle and cantori pentagon beetle, and Cacasus beetla is the 2 strongest beetle that ever lived! The most common tree in the tropical rain forest in Indonesia is the Tapang tree. Sometimes leopards and Puma like to live there, but people cut down the trees so the leopards and pumas had no othe place to live.

Do you know why forest is a fragile environment area? Be cause people cut down trees and kill the animals in the forest nd making it endangered. One of the example of the forest in Indonesia is the Boroneo rain forest. Some of the forest in Indonesia is being cut down to make factories haer, people also kill the animals in that forest. They need to cut 30- 45 million trees to make just one factory per year!
people also cut down trees tomake paper and they need 5 big trucks full of trees.

The logging factory have destroyed 10 million forest every year! The biggest forest in Indonesia is 73 million hectaresand it is located in Sumatra. Indonesia's forest are being destroyed faster than any country on Earth!
It is no just destoyed by people but by natural disaster also like landslide, flood and eathquake. One of the biggest logging company is pt. erna djuliawati, Central Java.

Its also raining almost everyday in a rain forest.Rain forest grow near the equator. Sometimes the air get hotter and hotter, but it also getting colder and colder. That is my report about forest.

Biblio=

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rainforest

www.rainforest-alliance.org/

www.rainforestweb.org/

devilbatshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09440831345131628759noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2512973650261528186.post-90893669416789063912008-04-05T18:21:00.000-07:002008-04-05T18:50:55.297-07:00My holidayWe had a holiday at march, the holiday was 11 days. They live together in a small wooden house on the edge of a great town. Their live was not comfortable and their house was nearly not fit for them all, there were two rooms and one bed for Mr and Mrs. Bucket's parents.

They wanted to buy a new house but, they were far to poor for that. Mr.Bucket was the only one who had a job and he didn't so many money. They only ate bread and margarine for breakfast, cabbage and boiled potatoes and cabbage soup for supper. Charlie felt the worst of all. They had to share and the left overs is for Charlie. Every time in the mrnig while he walked to school he could see great slabs of chocolate and he really loves chocolate but, he can only get it on special occation only. Then the day has come he bought one and only takes a tiny nibble everyday. The next day he saw a enourmous chocolate factory. Twice a day he whould go there and smell the scent. He wanted to see the inside of it.

Ch 16

When they get inside the factory there were Wonka's secret workers called the Oompa-Loompas. Mr. Wonka got it from Loompaland but, Mrs. Salt don't belive him. So Mr. Wonka told how the story goes. There was a country that have terrible creatures, one of the wicked ones are the Wangdoodles. It could eat 10 Oompa-Loompas for break fast. They lived on a green caterpillar. Every day they find red belltle or other bugs to be mash up. The Oompa-Loompas ate cacao beans and if they have find 3-4 cacao beans a year they were lucky. Then Mr. Wonka strated to make chocolates after that problem. He used 1 billion cacao beans every week for the factory. Then Veruca salt wanted it and she wanted now, but her father said later, after this trip. Worship centered on a vast pantheon of spirits, or kami, mainly divinities personifying aspects of the natural world, such as the sky, the earth, heavenly bodies, and storms. Rites included prayers of thanksgiving; offerings of valuables, such as weapons and armor and, especially, cloth; and purification from crime and ruining.

In the late 6th century ad the name Shinto was created for the native religion to differentiate it from Buddhism and Confucianism, which had been introduced from China. Shinto was rapidly overshadowed by Buddhism, and the native gods were generally regarded as manifestations of Buddha in a previous state of existence.
Buddhist priests became the guardians of Shinto shrines and introduced their own ornaments, images, and ritual. At the end of the 8th and the beginning of the 9th centuries, the celebrated Japanese teacher Kūkai, or (posthumously) Kobo Daishi, established a doctrine uniting Buddhism and Shinto under the name of Ryobu Shinto (Japanese, “the Shinto of two kinds”).

In the new religion, Buddhism dominated Shinto, and elements were adopted from Confucianism. The ancient practice of Shinto proper close to disappeared and was maintained only at a few great shrines and in the imperial palace, although the emperors themselves had become Buddhists. The typically Shinto priests became fortune-tellers and magicians.
Beginning in the 18th century, Shinto was recharged as an important national religion through the writings and teachings of a succession of notable scholars, including Mabuchi, Motoori Norinaga, and Hirata Atsutane. Motivated by nationalistic sentiments that took the form of reverence for Japanese antiquity and hatred for ideas and practices of foreign origin, these men prepared the way for the disestablishment of Buddhism and the adoption of Shinto as the state religion. In 1867 the shogunate was defeated, and the emperor was restored to the head of the government. According to revived Shinto doctrine, the sovereignty of the emperor was exercised by divine right through his reputed descent from the sun goddess Amaterasu Omikami, who is considered the founder of the Japanese nation.

Related beliefs included the doctrines that the Japanese were superior to other peoples because of their descent from the gods, and that the emperor was destined to rule over the entire world. Until the defeat of Japan in World War II, these beliefs were of the extreme importance in assuring popular support for the military expansion of the Japanese Empire.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shinto open at 19 September

http://jinja.jp/english/s-0.html open at 20 September

http://www.faithintowerhamlets.com/default/1100.guide/guides/shinto.html open at September 20

http://www.religioustolerance.org/shinto.html open at 20 Septemberdevilbatshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09440831345131628759noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2512973650261528186.post-7471618114440296722007-09-19T20:46:00.000-07:002007-09-19T21:15:13.219-07:00Beatrix potter

Is your imagination deep? As a food, I know I have to be bitten by someone. Now, I need to enter a body and join his digestive system. I know why he eats me because he has to give something important to his body.
Anyways, what is digestion? Digestion is the breaking down of food into forms that human bodies can use. The bodies use food as fuel to provide energy for work, play and growth. The digestive system is responsible for converting the foods that human eat into energy for bodies to use.

Mouth
Ouch!!! I am bitten off by his teeth. I am in his mouth and he starts chewing me now. The digestion begins by breaking down of food into small molecules. The teeth help to break the food apart, saliva helps to soften the food and his tongue helps to push the food into his throat when he ready to swallow. It means I am in the mechanical breakdown, plus some chemical (because it uses ptyalin, enzyme in saliva).

Swallowing
After being chewed, food is forced into the rest of the digestive tract by swallowing me. The tongue and the floor of the mouth rise, squeezing food into a muscular tube called the esophagus. I slide down the esophagus with the help of mucle contraction, peristalsis. Peristalsis is the name given to the wave-like contraction. If human tries to talk while swallowing food may enter the respiratory passages and a cough reflex expels.

Stomach
After moving through the 25 cm length of the esophagus, the bites of me reach the stomach. It is J- shaped bag, left side, just below the heart. Here, I temporarily stored. The principal activity is to begin the digestion of protein. The stomach makes digestive juices (acids and enzymes) that help to break me down into a thick liquid or paste. This thick liquid or paste is called chyme. The stomach is a muscular organ that is able to move in order to mix the food with digestive juices. I remain in the stomach for about two hours.

The small intestine
After leaving the stomach the piece of me enters the small intestine. It is a 20-25 foot tube that is coiled up in human abdomen. The most important part of digestion takes place in the small intestine. As the thick liquid food paste travels through small intestine, the nutrients (vitamins, minerals, proteins, carbohydrates and fats) are absorbed by millions of tiny finger-like objects called villi and sent into bloodstream where the nutrients can travel to all the body cells. The liver and gallbladder help digest fats in foods. Liver also helps body store extra food that it cannot use right away. Pancreas creates the chemical insulin to help body use sugar. There†are†some†leftovers that get to the end of small intestine. The leftovers go into your large intestine.

Large Intestine
The undigested food enters the large intestine as a liquid paste. In the large intestine water is removed from the liquid paste turning what is left into solid waste. The solid waste then collects in the rectum at the end of the large intestine and will finally leave the body through an opening called the anus.

The Fact

1. Biting into a sandwich and chewing it begins its physical breakdown. Chewing not only makes the sandwich easier to swallow, but also increases the surface area of the food so that digestive enzymes can come into contact with more of the food.

2. As the food travels through our digestive system, a journey of more than 8 m.

3. The liver stores and regulates the levels of food molecules in the blood.

4. The oesophagus is a long tube that runs from the mouth to the stomach.

5. Peristalsis is the name given to the wave-like contraction, which also happen in the stomach and the rest of the digestive tract.

6. Saliva is produced by salivary glands that lying in and near the mouth.

7. The salivary glands increase their saliva production before we eat.

8. Saliva plays an important role in digestion; to moisten and lubricates food, making it easier to swallow.

9. HOW LONG ARE OUR INTESTINES? At least 25 feet in an adult.

10. When we eat, our body digests the food so our cells can use it to make energy.

Bibliography

http://training.seer.cancer.gov/module_anatomy/images/illu_dige_tract.jpg
http://hes.ucf.k12.pa.us/gclaypo/digestive_system.html
http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/digestive-system/DG00049
http://personal.nbnet.nb.ca/kvhs/biology/digest.htmldevilbatshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09440831345131628759noreply@blogger.com13
